Make Rag Rugs
When you decided to make rag rugs, the first thing for you to do is to choose the material for your work and to be aware of the results you want to achieve.
There are some things for you to remember if you really want to make rag rugs. The first one is about the first stage of your work. Take the material, cut it into strips that are about 5cm across.
In case your material is thinner, make the cuts wider, if it is thicker cut narrower. Don’t forget to make braids more or less of the same size! The next stage to make rag rugs is sewing the strips together and rolling them into balls.
Be aware of the fact that you must have some sort of spindle to make rag rugs easier.
By doing this, your material won’t set out. It is best to make rag rugs with the help of sewing machine, but if you do not have it, tie the ends of the strips together and loop them over some handle.
When you make rag rugs you should join strips, turn each end of the strip towards the centre, and then fold it over at the centre.
