Rug is one of the most ancient article of human life. There exist several versions as to the place where rugs hooking was born.
According to one of them, the forerunner of rugs hooking is an Armenian territory. According to another – the founders of carpet weaving were Turkic nomadic nations. There are also the versions that rugs hooking appeared in China. In Tibet archeologists found a rugs prototype dating five thousand years.
The earliest from the remained rugs hooking is considered an Asian pile rug that was found in one of the tumuli in the eastern Altai. It was weaved on the verge of the fifth – fourth centuries B.C. Now rugs hooking can be met nearly in every house at any corner of the Earth.
